Recently, the PR for most of the websites has been changed very high or too low. There is an information given for all the webmasters who raises their question for this dancing of Google PR.
As of the May dance/update, Google has been making significant changes to it's algorithms. Many pages that used to show a Toolbar PR value are now showing PR0 (white) and no PR (grey), but the pages have not been penalized in any way and are ranking as normal. Also, the number of inbound links into many websites, as shown by Google, has been slashed dramatically. This has caused many pages to show a reduction in their Toolbar PR values, but the rankings don't appear to have been affected.
Also one of the reasons other than the mentioned above can be said that the quality of backlinks also taken into the consideration for this PR update by the Google.
